Iwancio Design is the featured page this week on The Trading Post blog! She makes beautiful customized stamped jewelry, crocheted items and more. About me: My name is Kristin and I'm a 20-something living in my cute little townhome in Harrisburg, PA.  I'm happily married to my college sweetheart and we had our first baby (a boy!) in 2010.  We also have two cat furbabies.  I graduated from the Art Institutes in 2007 and have a degree in Interior Design.  I have been crafting for as long as I can remember and I don't ever plan to stop!  I love a crafting challenge and I'm always looking for new projects to do and to accomplish.  The best part of being creative is seeing the joy I get from others when they receive something I've made!

What inspired me to open my shop: Lots of family members always insisted that I start my own website selling the items that I make.  But I was always too busy working close to full time and/or in school to actually do something about it.  Seeing that I was going to be a stay-at-home mom for most of the week instead of working, I needed something to support my crafting habits.  So, why not sell some of the things I've made?  I started small with knitted hats, and they were a big hit with other moms so that encouraged me to open my Etsy shop full-time.

Name of Shop: It was originally iDesign but due to the whole iPod phenomenon (thank you very much Apple :P), it was already a very popular name.  So I just went with my last name, Iwancio.  Well, for two reasons really.  1. Its my last name.  2. When my husband and I were first dating, I learned the pronunciation as a slurred, "I wants yo" (Yeah it was weird saying that to my parents to help them remember!).  So, put that in front of Design and it sounds like "I wants yo" Design!

Plans/Goals for shop: My goal is for my shop to fully support myself being a stay-at-home mom so I never have to work outside the home again!  

Favorite item: My stamped charm jewelry.  I'm always having customers ask for new and unique designs with this item and I love fulfilling their vision!
